Restrictions on Requesting "new" videos
- The following table summarizes the type of request limits that Minuteman libraries have placed on their new videos.
- This applies to: VHS, DVD and VCD feature films at the Adult, Young Adult and Juvenile levels.
- It applies to "new" videos where an item is considered "new" if the library acquired it within the last 6 months.

- Libraries with NonRequest collections have chosen to make their entire set of new videos serve as a browsing collection, available to anyone who visits their library.
- Local resident is determined by the town of residence of the patron.
- This table does not reflect the practices of these libraries for videos older than six months.
- For patrons living in a town with a NonRequest collection of new videos, there will be no ability to place a request for a new video in the online catalog.
- For patrons living in a town with a Requestable by Local Patrons collection of new videos, there will be the ability for patrons to place a request in the online catalog for new videos owned by their local library only
